Characteristics of ion nitriding
1. Fast nitriding speed and short production cycle: Take 38CrMoAl steel as an example, the thickness of the nitrided layer is required to be 0.53-0.70MM, and the hardness HV is greater than 900, it takes more than 50 hours to adopt the gas nitriding method, and the ion nitriding only needs 15 —20 hours.
2. The quality of the nitrided layer is high: Because the cathode sputtering of ion nitridation can inhibit the formation of a brittle layer, the toughness and fatigue limit of the nitrided layer are significantly improved.
3. Small deformation of the workpiece: suitable for processing precision parts and complex parts. For example, the screw made of 38CrMoAl steel has a length of 900-1000mm and an outer diameter of 27mm. Its bending deformation is less than 5um after nitriding.
4, strong adaptability to materials, nitrided steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals can be ion nitridation.
